My name is Glitter Aurora Plascencia.  I live in North Pole, Alaska, with my family. (Yes, there is actually a North Pole.  And yes, there's a Santa Claus house here and Santa Claus visits during the Christmas season!)  It is a great little town, and we have the spirit of Christmas go on all year long; you can see it when you come here.

I am 11 years old.  I am in the fifth grade at North Pole Elementary; I will be starting middle school in the fall; we start back in September, the day after Labor Day.  I love school, but I am more than ready for summer vacation!

I have two brothers: Glacier Ice (8) and Polar Bear (3; yes, that is his real, given name!! Don't laugh!).  My parents must have been drunk or high when they named us, especially Polar Bear.  LOL  I am sure he is gonna get teased when he starts school, but right now all he cares about is destroying the house and causing mischief and mayhem wherever he goes!  Typical little toddler/preschool kid!  I have no sisters.

Some of my interests include reading, writing stories or poems, going camping, fishing, hunting, dog sledding (in the winter), hiking, playing sports (baseball, volleyball, soccer, football: you name it, and I do it!), snow skiing, water skiing, swimming, and watching the northern lights during aurora season (fall through April; aurora season just ended here, and it was spectacular: some of the best aurora viewing in years!!).

When I grow up, I want to be a writer or a professional soccer player or maybe even play football!  Yes, that's me! I am NOT a girlie girl AT all; I HATE wearing dresses; I am jeans-and-shirt kinda gal; always have been, always will be.  I'd also like to have my own tour company and take guests to see the northern lights.

Well, I hate to go, but Polar Bear is being a butt; he's pestering me to play with him.  I had better go entertain him before he throws a fit and wakes up Dad, who works a million hours a week as a truck driver; he's hardly ever home, but when he is, all he usually does is SLEEP.  And Mom is busy raising us.  She's calling me to watch over Polar Bear.  I will write in here again soon; until later, this is your new friend in Alaska, Glitter Aurora, signing off! Take care and God bless!

~Glitter Aurora.  :)
