Hold me.
Cover me in warmth,
with your touch that still lingers on my body
from the last time we connected.
Where I lost it all
because all you seemed to do
was grab my eyes with yours
and catch my breath that waited to be released.
Dropped a match to my heart,
then stood and watched as I engulfed in flames
my whole body on fire,
heat coursing through my veins.
When I think of you,
I'm inhaling in peace,
as I bathe in the sunlight of these yellow dreams.
When I'm with you
it's frightening to think that you've managed to turn hope
into a luxury,
and my mere existing
into this endless falling.
You are a starkissed beauty,
with eyes shining bright,
their pupils leaking nothing but love,
and the thickest of lashes
that leave shadows
dancing across your face.
You are shivers
left from delicate fingertips tracing
in circular motions
every bit of me
every inch
until my body has surrendered
and I'm left in shattered pieces.
Shaking.
All I see
are your bitten lips,
the good kind,
and your messy hair,
the perfect kind.
I swear you have my thoughts flickering, flickering
where I'm just turning on and off, on and off.
You've got my lungs
filled
to the brim
with nothing but hope.
Hope, and infatuation
and my whisperings that all repeat one thing
hold me.
