We NEVER learn!

Haunted echoes of our shameful past

are once-again heard, I guess the last

time, WWII, taught the world not one

damn thing--shadows blotting out the sun.

I revisit this theme, over and over again,

but, seems there's no interest in where we've been,

I guess a new generation must learn on their own,

a sad house build on suffering and bone.

The voices of the past shout warning but go unheard,

the line between reason and crazy have been totally blurred.

The sad wings of destiny are leading us to ruin, tone-deaf

people, common sense and reason have left us bereft.
