The night's sky seems so much sweeter than the harsh bitterness of the day's light. Nothing but dishonest smiles and false hellos.  Dragging feet and droll moans. Every bit of it seems like I'm watching a reel in a movie where the character is standing in place watching everyone and everything around them pass by as if nothing exists or maybe they're the one that doesn't exist. I can't help but feel like I'm that character, not existing in everyone else's world. The night's blissful emptiness is the only time I have to step out of that fake life with all of those fake people in it, to see my real life surrounded by real people. This life I see for myself in the night's hours may not ever be, but I know in that moment that it can be. Hope.
