Moms cry when you are born,

Moms cry when you are scorned.

Moms cry when you are hurt,

Moms cry when you have a girlfriend and flirt.

Moms cry when you go to the prom,

Moms cry when their son’s new boyfriend is named Tom.

Moms cry when you graduate from school,

Moms cry when you break a golden rule.

Moms cry when you give them their first grandchild,

Moms cry when you are sick though mild.

Moms cry to show their love,

Moms cry when they pray to the Lord above.

Do not get this poem wrong,

Moms are very strong.

Moms cry about all these things,

Because with the tears, exceptional love clings.
