When I was about 8 I lived in a house in the city. Now I didn't know much about "Stranger Danger" back then. It was a summer day in June. I lived with my mom and dad. My dad was at work and my mom was inside cooking dinner she told me to go outside to play because I was bothering her too much. Anyway we didn't have a gate in our backyard so it was easy for me to wonder to the front yard. I wasn't allowed to play in the front yard at my age because of the constant traffic that was around we lived in a big city so traffic was constantly coming. I was playing with a big kickball at the moment and I kicked it the ball landed in the middle of the road. I walked out to get it not looking both ways before crossing. I just ran out in the middle of the busy road to retrieve my ball. I got it and went back to our yard safely. As soon as I got back I noticed out of my Peripheral vision a white van pulled up to our driveway. A bald man stepped out of the car and said "Hey little boy is your parents home?" I just started at him. He asked again. I didn't answer. Then he walked over to me he left his car door open he walked over towards me grabbed my arm and started to force me to come with him to his van. I yelled for my mom to come from inside. She came running just in time as the man yelled "Get In my Van" he saw my mom as she yelled "Who are you?" The man ran into his van and drove off as fast as he could. My mom brought me inside and called the police. The police came and my mom gave them a report and told them what the man looked like and the van he drove. Needless to say the police never found the van or the creepy
Man. At the time I had no idea of the danger I could have been in. The man was still out there. It made me sick to think he was out there somewhere maybe trying to lure kids into his van. Apart of me wants to think he is rotting away in a prison cell somewhere but I'm not sure. I shudder every time I'm told  about the story too who knows where I would be if he had gotten me into that van on that summer day.
