Finding My Way

A blank Word document is a picture not yet painted,

a work of art not yet begun, a masterpiece waiting to be anointed.

You can make it anything you want, unleash your imagination.

it's there, in your head, just awaiting dictation.

Fly over places never visited, meet people as yet unknown,

it's a baby idea, unformed, incomplete, and not yet full grown.

The unmarked canvas is calling your name silently,

waiting for you to bring it to life, turn what-if to reality

so let it take you where it will, just unleash your mind,

a whole world is at your finger-tips I think that you will find.

Make it near to real life or let your mind run wild,

remember how it used to be when you were just a child;

not being constrained but pretending, making the world your own,

make a dream-scape pleasant or go for a scary tone.

Your words can paint a picture of anything you choose,

so let them just run rampant ‘cause there’s no way you can lose.
