Summary

A story about the main character Carter Jones, hired to return to a second tour from the NSEI corporation after having survived the Galactic Cruise; The Nebulae.
This story is set on a newly discovered planet, as our wide cast of characters explore the wonders and dangers of new life and discover what really happened to the Nebulae.

{Note: I wrote this story quite some time ago, and might finish it. It can be quite cringy, a few grammar issues but I just wanted to hear people's opinion on it, so please leave a comment if you have critiques or queries}

Chapter 1: Discovery
The emptiness of space filled the outside of the window, nothing for kilometers that he could see. "When are we arriving?" Owen asked, looking through all his supplies. "Owen, it's a military organization, not some school field trip" James answered, he packed up the boxes and lifted them onto the cart. James had short dark brown hair, like Owen he didn't want some buzzcut. He had an icy blue set of eyes, piercing but not too threatening.  Owen had however a dirty blonde mullet, and a grayish blue set of eyes that just seemed peaceful and innocent. Come on, we've got to get these onto the truck" they pushed the cart down the hallway. Officers passed them, a slight scowling, not even glancing an eye. "What's the problem with them?" Owen asked, as he watched another officer pass by them. "We're not really supposed to be here, they just want to invade the planet and colonize it; but P.A.N prohibited it. We and some others are the only ones keeping everything in check" James strolled towards the camouflaged truck. He parked it right next to the boxes as they started loading them on. A mission like this was not a chance many species would get in lifetimes, this was a voyage across planets, solar systems and even galaxies. With technology as advanced as this, soon there could be another voyage that could take them across galaxies. "Arrival in an approximate of... two minutes" an artificial voice spoke across the speakers. "Hurry up, we're gonna need to be there when we land" they both quickened their pace as they finished with the set of boxes. They had already separated from the Khepri space station; flying out over the planet. They stepped inside the truck ready to drive out. "Activating Landing Sequence" the ship started shaking as they entered the atmosphere, which is why they clamped everything onto the ship.

Landing sequences took much quicker than people expected as they were already through the atmosphere when they passed through the luscious and endless amount of clouds. Lieutenant General Jones rounded up all the soldiers, as they collected their electric weapons. "Now, our job is only to check the area for danger, we are not to kill or harm anything that we might come across" Jones took out the gun and showed it to the battalion. "Now, you must use your Vz-reader to check hat it has a power exertion of 5Vz, and 5 only!"  he yelled. "Five will be enough to stun a horse, but anything higher will seriously harm organisms that are the size a large dog" he loaded the weapon as they moved to the cargo bay. They had a small off-road vehicle at the side, as the rest of them held onto handles as they waited for arrival. They could see the surface of the planet from the window, as the platform lowered - ready to tilt down.
