The Tower

An air of tragedy surrounds her

The power of the tower crumbles into dust

A colossal structure once standing tall

With defences breached, it began to fall

Cascading stones, heavy in her heart

How is it she might find the strength to rebuild the walls

And once built could they withstand another attack

She lacks motivation for all her fears became true

How many times must she reconstruct

Her defences wear thin

She no longer feels protected

But without structure, her heart is sure to rupture

If only the light of the moon carried an answer

If only someone,

Somewhere,

Beneath the veil of stars would take a chance on her

After all the will of two hearts is stronger than one
