I see your face in the reflection of the silver in your hand

Down on one knee as one would hope you'd see

Staring up at me with a question in your eyes

As I see your face with the anticipation it has

It breaks my heart to know the answer I must give

The rose petals that surround us, gaze at me as you do

Out of your mouth I heard what was to be expected

Out of mine you heard what was not

As your face fell into the many looks of dispair

All I could do was turn and walk away

There's just no way to say what I had to say

As I walk, I feel a pain sharp and deep

Falling to my knees I realize my dooming fate

I turn to see your face with the dismay it has

In a puddle of blood and roses I lay

As I close my eyes I see your face in the reflection of the silver in your hand
