I wrote this poem three summers ago about my first boy crush. I thought I was straight through all of high school, then in college I experimented and believed I was bisexual, but it wasn't until I fell in love with a guy, when I finally realized I was gay. This poem was written before all of the drama (Which I'll share more poems about). Just a poem describing the powerful emotions this boy made me feel. He was charming, sweet and caring. I was just nineteen, and foolishly in love.

Kryptonite (Witching Look)

He’s got that witching look;
charms me with his warlock eyes.
They read me like a book
and they take me to the skies.

He’s got that magic touch
that chills me to the bones.
And he doesn’t have to say much
for my heart to skip like stones.

He’s got that lukewarm smile
that make my stars collide.
Like a song that is worthwhile,
he is close to my inside.

He’s the beam of my night
and the pillow in my bed.
He clouds the darkness with light,
catching me when I drop dead.

He’s the architect in my dreams,
designing every fantasy with ease.
Takes me to my extremes,
every time he gives me a kiss.

And he becomes my kryptonite,
when with his soft voice he says my name.
All of the wrongs are suddenly righted,
when he brings all of his game.

He’s got that witching look;
charms me with his warlock eyes.
They read me like a book
and they take me to the skies.
