The air we breathe is life, so simple and so plain; we know it is important, more than words can explain

The air we never see, but feel always around; the air as such is nothing, yet constant as the ground

The sky—home to the clouds, the moon, the sun, the stars; ever it goes on, beyond the reach of bars

Never we consider, the emptiness so free, and as such it is nothing, to you or even me

And still there is the rain, the seasons and the seas; they come, they go, they change, notwithstanding—as they please

And as such they are nothing, as ever they will be; to us these are but natural fixtures for to see

Their presences are what stay true to you and me, although they are a nothing we can in words perceive

So as such it is safe, to say most everything, is nothing—though a something, although they still may be

To say that you are nothing, then says that everything

Is what you are, will always be—

You’re nothing just to me
