This was inspired by an old friend who took advantage of the people around him and when they left he broke down.

Why do I stay

And give so many chances

To the people that can hurt

Without the need of swords or lances

Why do I smile

And tell people I'm fine

When the truth is

That I'm hurt and broken inside

Why do I trust

After so many lies

Believing things that cannot be true

But still willing to try

Why did I leave

When I said I would never go

And to hurt myself more

As I reach a new low

Why did I cry

With the happiness that was shown

And the felling that was given

Of never being alone

Why did I lie

To everyones face

Laughed and took advantage

Now an utter disgrace

Why did I
