Within the shyness of the evening there are shadows

That sometimes lean to darker side of blame

And if it came to me to harbor thoughts, reflected,

Then I suppose that "Regret" would be my name.

There is no place that the past can be shredded

Recycling of mistakes is not a habit that I do.

So when I look into the pond of clouded memories

It's not surprising that a few make me blue."

Not too soon do I leave the pangs of sorrow

And fly away to fonder memories of love.

I say the name of the symbol offering hope

The one that warms my heart, --- it is Dove.
