Colorblind

I live in a blue state and vote in that manner. My complexion is tanned and my eyes are hazel; somewhat dimmed by sad days and the passage of years.

My family has a dark sense of humor and their incessant chatter is often white noise to my senses.

My students are black and blue from the poverty and abuse they come from. They are green with envy for what they do not have and red with anger as they realize the difficulties that lay before them.
