We feel it. The strain of the pull . The golden rule. Not meant to be broken . Shunned with hatred , a love so cruel. I sing her a melody . That places her arms to sleep . She is like dust . That the wind blows into dry eyes. Wreaking havoc with dragon mouth lies.

Fully aware , I let the horses run . Carry me from her deserted mind. I catch the fleshold strains of departing trains . Bound for one eternal goodbye. She was always there for them to kick around . But for now, she's let them down . I swoon my love , and hold it in vain . She was one of the angels , left to cry out in the rain . Just waiting to be saved again .

Mourning roses , the beauty still lies. In a resting place of daydreams . Awaiting the sun to rise. So here I am . The guardian of her dreams . To sing these lullabyes , and keep her asleep . Will my devotion to her soul bring her broken heart to peace ? The moon is out . The stars alive. I think I'll stay tonight . I hold her down in the cold angry wind . Grateful to be together again .

With gravel hands , and skin so worn . I promise my heart agony no more . As she basks in my presence , and a quiet love so warm . Over her body , I begin to swarm . I am a journey. Far beyond my time . I penetrate the veils so they're easy to deny .

As she wakes from her slumber She grants me a kiss so vast. I sing a lullaby to Lucy , and bury my scars at last ..
