Just Stay

I’m lonely and you are too,
But there’s something we could do.
Don’t care if it’s wrong or right;
I just want you to stay the night.

Sleep right next to me,
And tell me there’s no place you'd rather be.
Let’s just hold each other tight,
Until the sky is broken by the light.

And the wake-up can be the end;
You won’t have to see me again.
But if you choose to stay,
Just know my heart’s made of clay.

We don’t have to play pretend;
You don’t have to be my friend.
Just want you to be my baby tonight,
‘Cause I’m just too tired to fight.

Let’s get tangled up in this bed;
On my chest, you rest your head.
‘Cause I’m so sick of feeling sad;
Sick of them saying I’m mad.

I’m lonely and you are too,
But tonight it’s me and you.
Doesn’t have to be wrong or right;
Darling please just stay the night.
