Why do we worship – We worship because we like to give our praises to God. God created the universe including us and God is good. As Psalm 100:4 says we enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. We give thanks to him and praise his name. He is our Father in heaven and he gave his one and only son for us Jesus Christ. Jesus died on the cross for us.

Why is worship important – Worship is important because we are praising God for everything he has done. It is the reason Christ came, the reason He was crucified and the reason He rose again. It is the key to God’s presence. It is what brings us intimacy with the Father.

What does worship look like in my life – Worship in my life involves singing, writing and talking. When I sing I am worshipping God. I write poems and little paragraphs of information, which is how I worship. Also when I talk to people about what God has done in my life, which is also a way of worshipping God.

Describe a time when I met with God through my worship – I met with God through worship when I was wanting to write a little paragraph about us and the community. I had a few ideas and I prayed to God for some ideas and he gave me a sense of happiness and the bible verse that came to me was Genesis 1:27, which says: So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. After that bible verse I thought about it and this what I ended up writing:

Church is a community. We were all brought to life to be a community not to be an individual. Think back to the beginning when God created Adam, he didn’t just create Adam, he created Eve as well. He made them a community not an individual. Carry on with life as a community not individually, even if you feel like you have no one, you have God. Believe in faith and big things will happen.
