Summary

"eany meany miny mo." He said kicking in one of the stall doors. I flinched and held my legs up as I tried to hide myself up on the toilet seat. "Come out! Come out! Wherever you are." He kicked in another stall door. I started to think of a plan when I heard him the in another door two stalls down from mine. He then kicked in the door next to mine. After a few moments of silence I took a deep breathe. I heard him chuckle outside of my stall, counted to three and before he could kick the door in, I had kicked it the opposite way. The door fell on top of him, knocking him down, and I landed on top of both him and the door. "Having fun there princess?" Tai said in the doorway. I rolled my eyes and walked out of the bathroom with him.

Agent Victoria, now a detective, is on the case. A young high school girl goes missing and it's only a matter of time before she is killed. Victoria Clarke is assigned the case and along the way meets another, charming yet annoying, detective who gets on her nerves while confuses her wavering heart. Will she solve the case of the missing girl or will she hit rock bottom and lose everything she has worked for?

I braced myself for impact as my car t-boned the side of another car. I quickly got out of the car, shook off the pain, and ran over to the driver's side of the other car. I checked for movement. The driver pushed himself up off the steering wheel and I immediately held my gun up to him. "You're under arrest for impersonation of a cop and theft!" At that moment I heard clapping and the simulation faded away. "Well done Agent Clarke! You successfully stopped and arrested the criminal before he could do anymore harm!" Captain Paige said proudly. "Does this mean that I passed?" I asked becoming excited. "Yes. You passed." He said chuckling.

That evening we went out for dinner as a unit. My friend Grace sat next to me and was drinking a glass of cold beer, which had been her second one since we got to the restaurant. I sat there fidgeting with my fork. I was so nervous because Captain Paige was about to announce that I finally succeeded in completing the simulation. My heart sped up as Captain Paige stood up and held out his glass of beer. "Congratulations to Agent Victoria Clarke for completing the simulation! Cheers!" He said and everyone followed. Grace wrapped her arms around me and pressed her cheek up against my arm. "Yaaay Graaacee!" She said, slurring her words. I lightly pushed her off of me and stood up. Everyone turned and looked at me smiling. "Pardon me for disturbing everyone, but I should really take Grace home before she drinks anymore. " Everyone moved and applauded me before I left the restaurant with one arm around Grace and the other holding congratulatory gifts. I pushed drunken Grace into the back of the taxi and threw my bags in with her. I then climbed in and closed the door to the taxi.

When we pulled up to the apartments, I got out and leaned into the taxi to help Grace out of the taxi when the driver turned around and looked at me. "Are you sure you don't want to stay in the car?" He said pervertedly. "Are you sure you don't want your own foot up your own backside?" His smirk immediately faded after I said that and as soon as i had my bags and Grace out of the taxi he sped off without looking back.

I had to drag Grace up the metal stairs that led to her apartment and almost fell a couple times on my way up. As soon as we got inside the apartment, I threw her onto the couch and slumped down on the chair across from her. "Uuuuhhh. My head is killing me!" Grace said rubbing her forehead with her palms. "You brought that upon yourself!" I said with my eyes closed. "You could have stopped me!" She said quickly sitting up, but regretting it when the hangover set in. "I tried!" I told her tiredly. "I don't believe that! I mean how can I when I'm like this!" She said flopping back onto the couch. I looked at her as she laid rubbing her temples. "It hurts! I'm gonna die! Sarah help meeee!" She said rolling all around. "Stop being overdramatic! It's not the end of the world!" I said getting up and walking into the kitchen. "I want ramen! Make me some ramen Sarah!" I turned and looked at her. "What am I your maid?" I said as she looked at me too. We couldn't keep a straight face and burst into laughter.

The next day I was bombarded by congratulatory compliments. Every single person I passed either pat me on the back or gave me a hug saying, "Congratulations Sarah!" I don't like being the center of attention, so as soon as I got to my new office, I immediately closed the door. I looked around at my new office and was amazed at how big it was compared to my last one. "I'm finally a detective!" I said to myself as I sat down in the office chair behind the desk. "Come in!" I yelled after I heard a knock on the door. I immediately stood up when Captain Paige walked into the room. "Get home safely last night?" I nodded silently. "Do you like your office?" He asked walking around the room and then stopping, looking at the window with his arms behind his back. "Yes I do! It's very spacious." I said looking around some more. "As you know, you are a detective now so you have responsibilities. I have a small case for you to start with and you will be accompanied by one other detective." He said turning and facing me. I nodded and he turned and walked towards the door. "Your partner will be determined by two o'clock this afternoon. Be ready!" He said closing the door behind him.

As soon as two o'clock rolled around, I immediately got a call saying that my partner was waiting in front of the building and that I needed to get my gear and meet them. I quickly grabbed my vest, clip, and gun after I hung up. I ran into the nearest elevator and pressed the button for the first floor. As soon as the elevator reached the first floor, I jumped out and ran through the glass doors. Out of breath, I looked around for my partner, which I had no clue what they looked like. "Victoria Clarke?" I heard someone say my name and my eyes immediately locked with a tall lady wearing dark shades, leaning up against a police car. "Yes? Are you my partner?" I asked walking toward her. "I am! You can call me Chief Jacobs!" She said holding out her hand. I took it and then realized what she said. "You're a chief?" I asked shocked. "Indeed!" I quickly let go of her hand leaving it empty. "It's an honor to be partnered with a Chief but I don't understand why they would've partnered someone like me with someone, like you, of high ranking? I don't deserve to be partnered with a chief! I just became a detective so I'm not great like you!" She put her hand on my shoulder and smiled. "It's alright agent Clarke! They partnered us together because you scored the highest in the simulation than anyone else has! They thought that you would work well with me because we're similar! I watched you take the simulation and you were really good so I suggested to the captain that we work together!" I looked at her and then begged a sigh of relief. "Sorry. This is something I've always dreamed of and I'm ruining it!" I said looking down. "It's alright! But we really need to go cause this case is an important one even though it's small." She said looking at her watch. I looked at her and quickly nodded.

I sat in the car and looked out the window feeling awkward. Since she is a Chief I felt like anything I said or did, would make her want to kick me from this case. "Are you okay? You're quiet all of a sudden." Chief Jacobs said as she glanced over at me. "Yeah! I'm okay! Just a little nervous." I said as I looked back out my window. "Ah! About your first case?" I nodded and she smiled. "I remember my first case! I had to tackle a pickpocket that had stolen from people for months until someone finally noticed. He had about twenty wallets on him!" She said chuckling. "I'm sure your experience will be just fine! I mean... come on you passed your simulation with the highest score anyone has gotten in years!" I looked at her and felt a little calmer. "What is our case anyway?" I asked. There was a bank robbery We need to see if we can find any fingerprints or clues that could lead to the thief." I nodded as she continued to pay attention to the road.
