I stole an angel from heaven tonight; it was quite an easy feat

Pure beings are simply drawn to sin, like butterflies to a spider’s web

Those wings I sheared were splendid, a pity to throw away; and so I froze them quick, preserving their memory for later days

One would think it’d be a task, to lure a pet so fine, from the cage of god’s sweet sanctum, to a bed of filth and crime

But lo, look, behold; the angel loves the grime, and heeds my siren’s call, every single time

Fidelity holds no weight, equal to my chains

I wrapped that angel tight, and played no foolish games

You call me as you will, a devil, whore, a shrew; but angels still will fall, to me instead of you

Such beauty I adore, my pleasure is their pain; I do not crave redemption, I lust to see their shame

All angels hide a heart, beneath smooth velvet skin, which beats unsteady rhythms, and takes flight just for sin
