When the nervous smile builds the way to its true form

The same wrinkles never miss the opportunity to outline his cheeks

Two wrinkles on each side

Occasionally I’ll be the reason for the washed out look on his face

Yet that perfect smile always falls back into it’s place

I can’t help but stare at the way his hair lies when waking up

looking at me with those tired, confused eyes

Mesmerized by listening to the way his tongue trips over his words while his brain is already forming the next sentence

You may believe that only gibberish is running out of his perfectly defined lips

and you could wonder how I’m able to translate the disarray sounds and still answer with the proper words to say

It’s a language only we know

My hands tremble on the thought that I may as well just live inside his head

And he may not even know it

Maybe he doesn't recognize any of it

But I know.
