You started this conversation. Cornered the rat, so I'm forced to speak.
I've said something wrong.
I've hit where it hurts, and now I can see the injured look in your eyes.
Why does the truth always hit harder than the lies?
So you see now, don't you? The monster behind the Halloween mask. I am me, something I'll always be! Something you can't change, if you can't take it, then leave.
As soon as these words come out, the door opens, and your gone.

I never knew solitude could be so suffocating. I feel like the balloon after the party, I'm just deflating.
Now that it's over, I'm lost in my mind. Counting the minutes that go by, and losing track of time. My ego was big, I couldn't see how much you cared. Convinced that i couldn't be saved, I ran away, scared. I pushed you away, like the coward I am. This was never part of my plan.  Forgive me, please, I need you to be here. I can't do this without you.
I look up, and the wall gives me a blank stare. No answer tonight, any reply at all, is rare. If I can't breathe anymore, I fear I may die. But at least I won't be leaving people wondering why. No note will be needed, no complicated goodbye. Wish me luck, fair friend. I'll watch you from the sky.
