Burning like acid
The tears streamed her face
Washing away nothing else
But the fake smile she wore that day

***

Mind, body and soul; she is broken
Isolated, with no where to turn
The art of true happiness
She is yet to learn

***

Every waking day is a struggle
Her only desire; to simply survive
She's only living for other people
So is she even really alive

***

At the end of her survival
She craves the cycle to end
But when she awakes in the morning
She sports that fake smile; "Here we go again."
