For Karen Vidra and Karla Dorman

The long wait, always expected, dreaded

Waiting not knowing

out of date magazines, crowded waiting room,

Needles they make you squirm

medical jargon, scary prognosis

your strong though faith will carry you through’

But what is impossible with Man is possible with God

A steady hand a healing heart

The Lord will carry you in the palm of his hands.

Even when doubts are planted and hope is slim.
