Eyes are such beautiful pieces of art and it has inspired this poem to try and capture their beauty.

Faintly flawed

And carefully molded

These piercing crystals

Break my heart

Their beauty astonishing

Quite delicate to the touch

I am lost inside

These eyes of blue

Carefully balanced

With a nick here and there

They take the breath

Of all that see

The center so dark

Darker than night

Holds no mercy

Yet there is nothing to fright

It's calm inside

An ocean so quiet

The crystal breeze

Of lost hope

And through all of this

I sit across from you

Just gently staring

Into your eyes of blue
