We are the creatures of darkness and dust

Who linger in shadows as leaves turn to rust.

We are the demons who howl with no pain

Who laugh in the dark ‘til the sun rise again.

We are the monsters who lurk in the night

Be but kind to us and protect you we might.

We are the phantoms of darkness and dusk

Lingering in shadows as death turns to dust.

We are the gods with no devotees

So to each other, we bend broken knees.

But if you call out for us in the pain and the dark

We’ll come to you and take over your heart.
