God give me strength,

The strength that I need,

The power and might,

To pull up those nasty weeds.

God give my hands the will,

To dig up those damn bulbs,

Those blue and white bells,

All attached to bowls of Hell.

God help me in this day,

To fork and find the roots,

To till and toil,

Ever searching for life.

God do not evade me,

Stay by my side,

As I stoop down low,

Spade or fork in hand.

I thank you, God,

If it works,

Help me please,

Make it quick.

God given strength,

For all to receive,

Pray or call,

For the power to give.

For the child or aged,

Or someone in doubt,

God give me strength,

Praying, over and out..
