“This is the end, isn’t it? It can’t be, I tried so hard, how could I be so reckless? I should have known this would happen. Damn it. Well, I guess if this is it, might as well go out fighting.”

They are everywhere, surrounding her, above her, below her. She was trapped. She picks up the sword and takes a stance. She knew she was going to die, but she wanted to go out with a bang, take as many of them as she could with her. The first of them start advancing on her, growling and drooling, hungry for their long awaited meal. Two of the attackers jump at her, but with one swift motion, she struck both of them down. This was repeated for what seemed like a year for the girl, when there was only a few left she started getting confident, but one of the attackers grabbed her from behind, she cursed and swung to hit it, but it was too late, panting, scared she looked around, and even more had appeared from the shadows, she closed her eyes, chanting her prayers, and waiting to die, she opened her eyes just as she was about to be killed and…. Nothing, nothing happened, apart from a whistle, not far away, the lifeless bodies stopped, they slowly turned around, and started walking toward the sound, the one behind the girl hit her in the head, knocking her unconscious.
