More than anything, Ivy hated crushes. She hated everything about them. The word, the feeling, everything. Unfortunately, Ivy had a crush. Which she would never admit to, regardless of how absolutely true it was. She felt as though it was an immature concept. A concept that nothing came out of. It seemed like any time you had a crush on someone, all possibility of ever talking to them disappeared. But what didn’t disappear was her crush. She liked him more than anyone else she had ever liked in that way.And she couldn’t figure out what had come over her, she had never even talked to him. There was no reason to support her so-called “crush.” But wow, did she like him. If she saw him in the hallway her eyes would want to focus on him. She noticed him more and more everyday. And the more she noticed him, the more she wanted to talk to him. To ask him about things, like his aspirations and fears, all that cheesy stuff that makes people so absolutely wonderful. And she noticed the smallest details of him. Like the way he smiled. And I know it sounds extremely cliche to say that he smiled with his eyes, but he did smile with his eyes. It was such a rare occasion when you did see him smile that you couldn’t help but notice. She liked him oh-so much, her crush wasn’t going away like she had wanted it to. And more than anything, Ivy hated crushes.
