My name is Sophie Jackson, and I stink at basketball.  Why I even bothered to sign up for it is byond me.  Yet I had to sign up for one sports elective as part of my grade for Physical Education (PE), so there you have it.  Basketball seemed like the only logical choice.

I am so bad at basketball my fellow teammates have christened me with the less than kind nickname of The Air-Ball Queen.  I can't even hit the basket, no matter how hard I try.  If I do, I end up hitting the rim.

I like basketball as a rule, don't get me wrong; but not at the expense of having others laughing at me.  They bray, cajole, jeer, and shout awful nicknames at me, with The Air-Ball Queen ranking right up there among the very worst.  It's getting to the point where I dread going to gym every day, knowing that I'll end up getting humiliated once again.  I don't want to quit and risk flunking PE, but I can't stand the teasing much longer; it's getting very old fast!

So my question is this: what do I do to improve my game, and to get the teasers off my back once and for all?  Any helpful advice is greatly appreciated; thanks in advance!

*The end!*
