I think I don't have to explain you what a waitress is. This is the most common job for a girl who didn't study a career. But it's not as easy at it looks, as they are not allowed to sit down during their working hours.

Marion works as a waitress at "La Petite Rose des Sables" (The Little Sand Rose) in Paris. There they serve home style French cuisines that attract many tourists. During the day the tourists see the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre Museum, Notre-Dame Cathedral and The Avenue des Champs-Elisées... At night they taste French cuisine in the numerous restaurants all around the city. And that makes Paris the most visited city of Europe. Still most of the French people not living in Paris hate their capital, I mean, the people living in Paris.

Marion lived in Paris, but grew up in another city called Orléans. Like part of the french population, she had some origins from North Africa. She was a romantic, a daydreamer; she saw life through rose colored glasses; she saw "La Vie en rose" (life as if it were rose-tinted). She worked till "Midnight in Paris", then took a "Taxi" to go home.

She had a boyfriend. It all began with a kiss: "The Story of a Boy Who Wanted to Be Kissed". And as you may know, all the love stories end badly:

"MySex Life... or How I Got into an Argument"

They had a big argument about their sex life that ended the relationship. Love had lost its "Innocence", "Pretty Things" had turned ugly. To get her boyfriend to kiss her the very first time she told him:

"Love Is in the Air", "Love Me If You Dare".

She planned to have "A Very Long Engagement" with him, but it just didn't work out. It was all the fault of "Lisa", the girl her boyfriend cheated on her with. She doesn't want to talk about it, it's "A Private Affair". She also got tired of all the "Little White Lies" between them. It was definitely not a "Good Year". And when she got out of it, she said:

"It's Only the End of the World"

But it took time to get over her boyfriend. During many weeks she saw "Ismael's Ghosts" everywhere. Next time she swears she will date a "Big Fish", with a lot of money, and no sex life. Maybe it's better to get into an argument over money than over sex, or maybe not.

But at the end, after thinking over it for long weeks, she just decided to give up on men. Relationships are too complicated, and she needs time on her own to do some thinking about what she really wants in her life. When she was a teenager, she did a lot of self-talk, questioned life, and looked for her identity. She wanted to figure out who she was, bid deal.

"As a teenager, I didn't want to be me; I wanted to be many different people. Maybe I realized that they all lived inside me and that if I managed to connect with them, they would become aspects of me."

This is where all her confusion comes from. She wants to be everybody at the same time, except be herself. This is the kind of things actors do, pretend to be someone else. She should get into acting. She would win an Oscar if she did, I'm sure about it.

"I am not very good at expressing myself in a simple way so it can create mis-understandings and I hate that."

Relationships are all about communication. She has a complex mind, and that baffled her boyfriend Ismael, who just said what was in his mind, straight, in a direct and simple way. The cheating on her was a result of the frustration he couldn't bear any longer. Well,... you don't have to believe that if you don't want to.

"I think that when you don't see the boundaries, you cross them without even knowing they exist in the first place."

She got so upset for her boyfriend cheating on her, that over the time she just found a pretext to forget the pain it caused her. She couldn't acknowledge she didn't satisfy him sexually and emotionally. If not, why would he do such a thing (to hurt her?).

"I don't think you learn how to act. You learn how to use your emotions and feelings."

This is what she learned from her time by herself, her time of self-reflection. It's actually very good to get to its own conclusions. Now, she is ready for love again. She knows how to express her emotions and feelings better. Relationships are all about good communication. I know,... I just said it, but it's so important that I had to repeat it.

"I think you're where you have to be and I'm not a person who wants to control things too much because I love surprises."

She lives in Paris, and works at "La Petite Rose des Sables" (The Little Sand Rose), and it's where she thinks she has to be. Cause this is what she is: "Une Petite Rose des Sables qui voit La Vie en rose" (a little sand rose who sees life as if it were rose-tinted).

"So, goodnight Marion. "From the Land of the Moon" you'll find out who you are in "Two Days, One Night"."
