It hurts to remember
But too easy to burn alive, If I forget

This isn't some silly poem.
This is something raw
Something real.
Something I've been trying to feel.

Every time I get anywhere close
You always run away.
Leaving me here to wonder why,

and leaving me to pretend I'm okay.

But I'm not!
This is so much more than you and I.
This isn't even about how or why.

It's when.

When did you decide?

When did the voices
Tell you to die?

When did you really go?
It had to be before you picked up that rope.

Putting the pieces back together
Is harder than you'd think

I remember one day you were here

Then...all I had to do was blink

It was over,

it was done

And now I lie so still

Getting colder by the second

Tell me love,

How many stones

Does it take to kill?
