It’s so dark I cannot see,

What’s that in the dark?

No idea what it could be,

All I need to see is one spark.

Slowly it creeps, inching my way.

What is this, some kind a creeper?

My torch keeps it at bay,

Beware, here comes the reaper.

Wielding his scythe made of steel,

My torch flickers, ever so bright.

I fear becoming his next meal,

He’s here and he bids me goodnight.
