Chapter 1

Google ruined everything. I got up, and went outside, deserted, as usual. I went back in the house, and ran upstairs to see what was left. I got in the chair, and logged in to my chromebook, then clicked chrome. The word, “Google” was printed everywhere, on the search tab, on the profile circle, and even on the bookmarks. As the screen began to glitch, I powered off my chromebook, and threw it out the window, and onto the hardened dirt. It landed perfectly flat on it’s side, but crushed to pieces as it made croaks and squeaks, making out, “It’s not over.” after a few seconds of silence, I slammed the window closed in anger, and left the room. I went to my room and sprawled out on the bed, bored. I heard a knock on the door, and slowly descended down the stairs, but I tripped and fell. Whoever is at the door wasn’t leaving now, I thought as I thanked my luck. I looked through the peephole, and to my surprise, a robot wearing a white shirt with google printed on the torso, was at the door. It knocked again, startling me, I debated for a second, then I grabbed a bat, and opened the door. I blasted it in the head but nothing happened. It’s eyes turned red as it said, “I’ve found the rebel.” I Don’t Know if it was talking into a radio or something, but i wasn’t going to ask. Before i could flinch a muscle, it grabbed me by the forearm. I screamed in pain as it’s claws pierced into my skin, and struggled to get away. The robot picked up the bat and hit me in the head, knocking me out. A while after I was dragged off by the robot, I woke up. After a few more minutes, we arrived at google headquaters. The robot took a card out of his shirt pocket, and swiped it through a sensor. It accepted the key and with a whoosh, the doors flung open. I was met by several robots almost the same as the first one but with different colored shirts. They came flooding towards me as I kicked the robot and ran to the doors. They snapped shut as I reached them, with nowhere to go, I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and buzzed a high pitched ring, the robots fell to the ground, leaving me a pathway. I just now figured out what happened because of my actions. Seeing that all the robots made a ring around me, then they all fell down, dead. I saw a rope swing down from the ceiling as I walked amongst the twitching robots, and wouldn’t you know, robots zipped down the line. I ran to the nearest door in sight, and locked myself in the room, anything to get away from the creepy robots. I looked through the window on the door, and saw the exoskeletons of all the robots bending and snapping as they all tried to pry open the door. With a sigh, I scanned the room for any escape, but no door, instead, a vent. I got a chair down from a stack, or at least tried to. and placed it directly under the vent, i got on top, and climbed into the vent, as i got in i saw many passageways that would lead me all different directions, no math to it, i picked a random one and went down. This went on for a while before the vent broke and i fell into the main meeting room. “I'm screwed,” I thought as all the robots quieted down. They continued as if I weren't there, it was the oddest thing ever. I slowly walked away and closed the door quietly. I got out of the area with no interaction with a robot, I learned that if I keep my face down, they won’t recognize me as a human and just assume that i’m a robot. good for me, I get to be classified as a hunk of metal. As I got closer to the exit door, I realized that I had no card, I’ll have to steal one from a robot. I looked through the crowd and saw the only one wearing a white colored shirt, the same one who took me from what I call home, I just had to get revenge on it. I walked over slouching, just like a robot, and slugged it in the face with my fists of fury. It didn’t do anything but make me cry in pain, I glanced at his card and didn’t hesitate to take it. I ran off and he didn’t follow. I swiped the card and got out. I was safe, for now.
