Ting-ah-ling, ling, ling, ling. Can you hear it?

The wire-spring doorbell, leaving some un-nerved.

Ting-ah-ling, ling, ling, ling. Can you see it?

The cozy little bookstore, where morning tea is served.

There is a table in the corner stacked with books

Where Mr. Lupin discusses evidence accumulation.

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson are on a case

And the games is a-foot --- is the general situation.

Ting-ah-ling, ling, ling, ling; a woman enters

She looks for various books by Laura Thyme

She is informed and directed toward detectives

If she really wants to know, she'd better look in crime.

Ting-ah-ling, ling, ling, ling; the woman leaves

With Veronica Mars, and another, Beverly Gray.

Then a long black limousine inches to the curb

With drama, and fashion, to whisk her away.

Rattle, rattle, rattle, the door is locked!

Who put the mysteries to bed and tucked them in?

Look, in the corner, a lifeless body on the floor!

And protruding from his heart, a woman's Hat-pen.
