Missed - call

I hate the phone. It makes me feel awkward and rushed. I always feel interrupted or anxious that I am cutting others off mid sentence.

With that said, the phone has also been a life line for me. “Please - come get me I need to leave this place; it’s not healthy.” “Why is he doing this?” “I have shared all of this but it makes no difference.”

At times I have been the sounding board and virtual therapist. “You have to go; you need to regroup and become healthy again.” “You will be ok and it will not always be like it is today.” “You can stay with me until things calm down.”

In retrospect it may not be the phone as much as the reminder of difficult conversations shared using it that I dislike.
