Life a precious gift
A work of art
I mean the start
A cataclysmic explosion
Uniting two individual parts
To form a new
Different entity
Myself
My birth, I know its my time
To make my appearance
Embracing my new surroundings
Send waves through the universe
For I am here

Expectations are high
The girl has arrived
For one this is not enough
My being born was a disappointment
I had to be someone else
I think at that point in my young life it all started.

Me never measuring up to the standards others set for me.
Even though I have tried so hard to achieve  the goals set for me.
Me always pushing myself so that I can be better.
So that I can be excepted. I've tried so hard that I suppressed who I truly was. This made me unhappy

And yet today a woman of substance.

I stand before you today

A phoenix rising from its ashes

I take anew

I live anew

No longer hurt by the pass

I took what it taught

I became stronger

No longer living by the expectations of others

Setting my own standard

Standing by side my own shadow

And Dare

I dare anyone to judge

Me

For my actions, for what I've done and who I have become.

Come on! I Dare You

Today

To walk a mile in my shoes

Tell me how far you've come before you could bare it no longer.

So by my standards

And mine alone

I tell you sir

I have been forged by time and circumstance

To be who stands before you today

And shout “THIS IS WHO I FORVER WILL BE”

And whisper “MYSELF”
