Take me or leave me,

But don’t ask me to believe,

Late at night when you come home,

Another essence I perceive.

Take me or leave me,

If I’m not awake just let me dream,

Don’t you kiss my forehead; you know I heard the door,

Guilt is in your kisses from what you did before.

You admire me because I hush and stare up at the sky,

Because sadly you don’t see me cry.

And you begin to feel smaller day by day,

And when I look at you, you just look away.

Take me or leave me,

I’ll give up and I won’t spy,

But leave the nest that we created in case you say goodbye.

You’re still here because you think I’m unaware,

But on your skin I’ve seen her prints; I’ve seen them everywhere.

And when I take a glimpse inside your eyes,

I see the truth that you deny.

Take me or leave me,

And if you return bring back with you all the traits,

Bring the truth so I can see,

My opponent: your “bedmate”,

And if she’s better I won’t fight,

at last you'll get to see me cry.
