Hole Swallowing me Whole

When you walked out you left a hole,
And the quicksand swallowed me whole.
Took the silver pistol and didn’t hesitate to shoot;
With one bullet you broke me down in two.

And I think of all the damage done;
All the different ways I should’ve gone,
But you still left me stranded without a reason,
As if I had just committed treason.

How could you ever forgive all of those,
Who also acted like they were your foes?
Yet I still got the short end of the stick,
And you tore down my castle brick by brick.

Never thought you’d leave me behind,
And treat me so unkind.
How could we ever be the same again,
If you’ve caused me so much pain?

And now there’s a big void in my heart;
Completely tearing me apart.
Because when you walked out you left a hole,
And it’s presence it’s swallowing me whole.
