This poem is about being in pain, and wanting so bad to be put out of your misery. You try to forget, but how do you do that when the thought of your heartbreaker haunts you at every hour?

Perfect Crime

The gun’s aiming at me;
Don’t hesitate, take your shot.
There’s no one here to see,
The evil of your scheming plot.

We were supposed to be together,
But now together’s gone.
What happened to “forever”?
Where did I go wrong?

Of your fraud I am a witness,
And I could take you down.
But baby, you’re my biggest weakness;
In my mind, you wear the crown.

I won’t turn you in,
For breaking my poor heart.
I am letting you win,
But I must stop falling apart.

So baby shoot me while you can.
Shoot me while there’s time.
Take the pain out of this poor man,
And commit the perfect crime.
