This poem is pretty simple; it's about being in love with someone who's put you through the ringer, but you can't get over them.

Madly in Love

I close my eyes and you’re there,
Haunting my very existence.
Tortured by the thought of the smell of your hair;
You tear down all of my resistance.

You broke my heart and that’s on you;
I cling to hope and that’s on me.
Ever since you left I got no clue
Of how to go back to the one I gotta be.

The words you spoke were so clear,
So why do I hold on?
You unleashed every single fear,
Since the day we stopped standing in the sun.

It’s like there’s an army of you around;
I see you everywhere I go.
My heart still follows you like a hound;
I’ve never sink this low.

And I wish I could say I’m done,
With this madness you’re putting me through.
I wish I could say you’re gone,
But I’m madly in love with you.
