This poem is pretty auto-biographical, and it's about allowing myself to be vulnerable around this guy I liked.

I Bite My Nails

I bite my nails when I get nervous,
And I’m a wreck when I am jealous.
Most days I barely eat,
And I got insanely huge feet.

You’ll find me crying over a heartbreak song,
And beating myself up when I do something wrong.
Some nights I’ll pop some bottles of wine,
Claiming ‘til the end that I am fine.

I’ve never been that handsome,
And I’m scared of being lonesome.
I usually don’t know what to wear,
And most of the time I really don’t care.

Since I was born I’ve been insecure,
And I haven’t found the remedy or the cure.
Though I am deemed as the one that has it all,
I’m a fast car about to hit a wall.

But even if I feel that I got nothing,
Baby, you and I we sure got something.
I may be built with broken pieces,
But when I’m with you my heart rate increases.

I’m not perfect but you ain’t either,
So baby please don’t be a leaver.
I know my ways you’ll understand,
If you just dare and take my hand.
