Pushing forward on your ship. Because that's what you do, even if you never stop looking back.

The helm has naught,
And the wheel it turns,
Towards waters fraught,
Where some throw themselves,
To avail of older burns

But I hold fast,
The ship it thunders on,
And cling to memories past,
With only passing thoughts,
To the far beyond,

To think such thoughts,
Of a lover gone,
The kind I'd sought,
Since fires broke,
The only one,

I left her there,
The reason lost,
And became despair,
My ship is wrong,
And true fate the cost,

Am I captain now?
Raised from rank with haste,
Clueless and furrowed brow,
The beauty we had,
All our posibilities,
All laid to waste.
