She was the one I could see it clearly,

I loved her so, I mean it sincerly,

Her hair, her eyes, her voice, her smile,

For her I would walk the longest mile,

But she wasn't mine, not really anyway,

It broke my heart to realise that one day,

When she wasn't home to greet me anymore,

She had left a note upon the door,

It read "I'm sorry, I loved you, honestly",

It's a shame she couldn't tell me modestly,

For a while I tried to hold on,

But that's when I realised.. She was gone.
