When she walked by his house, the odor of regret is strong with grief.

The damp grass scrunched as she walked to his window.

He could smell her perfume and hear her heavy and nervous breathing.

When she came to their spot, she saw his tattooed hand.

 

“You shouldn’t be here. You need to leave.”

These words stumbled from his mouth and floated into the cold air.

“I can’t forget about you. You’re always on my mind.”

Her eyes began to twitch as he closed his rusty window with no remorse.
