Parallel Lines

There is an ever present story in my head.

When I awake I write the real words I wish to express.

I realize that life would be much more challenging if I did not filter what  I was thinking.

“No –I disagree."

“No- you just like to hear yourself talk.”

“No –I don’t even think you believe yourself.”

“No –I think you are being rude and negative.”

“No- I think you are critical of others as an attempt to distract from your own lack of talent.”

People call me a good listener; I am just controlling the truths in my mind which run parallel to the words I express aloud.
