It all felt so unreal

The horrible shaking and shifting of the aircraft

Even through all the beeping and screaming from the passenger cabin, time was frozen

The sound of wind rushing by at incredible speeds

The sickening yawing of the plane

I have damned all the souls aboard this plane to a cold and watery death

The co-pilot screaming in my ear, the raging instruments yelling at me

was deafened by the impending death sentence

I hoped my death would quick and painless, that I would be torn apart in seconds

To be spared the pain of my errors

So many souls lost because of my mistake

I saw the blackened sea approaching, as we headed straight into its abysmal maw

I looked to my co-pilot, staring him right in his fearful eyes

"We're going down" I said, with a tone of disbelief and casualness

I returned my gaze to the outside world, the water was growing ever closer

It was only seconds away, seconds away from instant destruction

I closed my eyes and took a final deep breath

All that followed was an enormous crack, as glass and water sprayed into my body

and within a nanosecond,

Silence
