The tree of life grows

From the pond of the living

But life in itself

Is not so forgiving

It walks in the shadows

Of conspicuous truths

And never turns on

The six o'clock news.

The land mines and life-lines

At the charity balls.

The disappearance of love

And the big mega malls.

Order on line, anytime,

They have what you need

Until the bullets stop missing

And you watch yourself bleed.

We have come so far

To not be anywhere

And learn to speak kindness

But never to share.

Fake truth is like fabric

That is woven to fit

Those that will wear it

And not give a shit.
