Venus came out of the sea

And landed in the arms of Mars.

They kissed passionately,

And broke the golden jars.

Venus was strong and vibrant,

She played her part well.

Mars wasn't hesitant,

He acted like one from hell.

The gods looked on and cheered,

While the act took place.

Mars, strong, not scared

Won the strenuous race.

Pallas Athena came to the fore,

Hera stayed behind.

Ceres wasn't that sure,

She turned her face as if she was blind.

Vulcan said to Mars:

''With spears we shall fight

Beneath those shining stars,

We'll see who is right.''

Mars laughed and took his spear,

Ready to battle with Vulcan.

Venus stood near,

Waiting for the winning man.
