Show Time!

I’ve been waiting so long to go and see this show,

finally there’s a seat that’s free so I am gonna go.

The seats, they are arranged in tiers, a middle one is mine

but as the ones in front are lower, it should just work out fine.

And then the ticket holders are led straight to their seats --

the ones that sit in front of me are quite beyond belief.

He is just ginormous, at least as tall as six foot five;

she is that much shorter, but her hair’s in a bee-hive.

The show now is about to start, but quite where is the stage,

I dampen down my bitterness, and swallow up my rage.

I twist my body in my seat, move over to the side,

my neighbour gives me one strange look, I need to find my pride.

A tiny glimpse is what I get, I know I hear the sound;

but it wasn’t worth the price of it, is what I’ve gone and found.

I’ll go home feeling cheated, thinking of what I didn’t see;

I’ll keep my fingers crossed and hope it comes out on dvd.
